Every day, 8 Christians worldwide are killed because of their faith. Every week, 182 churches or Christian buildings are attacked. And every month, 309 Christians are imprisoned unjustly. It’s a dangerous time for Christians around the world. Prayer is the Christians greatest weapon. As Christians we should join the battle for our brothers and sister in Christ in prayer.
Take a moment to pray for each country where it’s the hardest to be a Christian (Look at Map)
Ask: Pray that persecuted Christians that the power of Christ grace may rest upon them, that in their weakness and great pressure that they exhibit the power of God (2 Corinthians 12:9). That through their hardship they will draw from a source of power larger than themselves. We pray that heir witness would speak to the hearts of those who are persecuting. We pray that God will give persecuted the right words and actions under the most faith testing circumstances. Take a moment to pray for those who are being bullied for being different, it’s a form of persecutions. Pray that the bullying will be stopped. We ask God to prepare our hearts for persecutions yet to happen in America, we pray that we will be grounded in the Word and filled with your Spirit.
Thanksgiving: God we thank you that we live in a country with religious freedom. We thank you that in our weakness, we are made strong by the power of Your grace. We thank you that we might “suffer together with Him in order that we may also be glorified together with Him.” (Romans 8:17. ) We thank You for the comfort and power You give through your Spirit. Lord thank You for our brothers and sisters unwavering faith as they are persecuted, it inspires us to see their conviction for the gospel and unwavering love for You. God we thank you that there’s a better world planned where there will be no more pain or suffering.
