December 5: Prayer for a Heavy Heart

Here are scriptures to pray over, seek the Holy Spirit Power in these passages.

Matthew 11:28-30  28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Isaiah 40:29-31 “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”)

Thank God for:  Think back on how God has helped you carry some heavy burdens, thank Him for helping you carry what you couldn’t do on you own.  God uses people to help us, think of the people who have helped you with you heavy heart, thank God for them, give them a call and thank them.

Ask God for:  Maybe you have something heavy on your heart right now.  Open you hands and release it to God.  Ask God to teach you His ways, God has a better way to look at life.  Search the scriptures there is Joy to be found: “The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.”  Psalms 19:8 NIV.

Think about people you know right now who have a heavy heart, intercede in their behalf, ask God to help your friends.
